Playlist Shuffle

Track Down's Playlist Shuffle tool reads one of your own Spotify playlists, puts every track into a true random order, and saves the result as a brand-new playlist — your original playlist is never modified.

Connect your Spotify account to choose a playlist to shuffle.

Same connection also unlocks your listening stats.

Frequently asked questions

Will this change my original playlist?

No. Playlist Shuffle always creates a new playlist in the shuffled order; the playlist you picked is left untouched.

Is this different from Spotify's built-in shuffle play?

Yes. Spotify's shuffle button only changes playback order each time you listen — it doesn't reorder the playlist itself. Playlist Shuffle writes a fixed, newly-randomized track order into a new playlist that stays shuffled every time you play it start to finish.

Can I reshuffle before saving?

Yes. Use "Shuffle again" as many times as you want to get a different random order before creating the playlist.

Shuffling a very large playlist? See Tips & Tricks for how Track Down batches big saves.
