How does Last.fm Top Tracks work?
Track Down converts your Last.fm top tracks into a Spotify playlist by pulling your real scrobble history for a time range you choose — from the last 7 days to your entire account history — then matching each track to Spotify automatically.

Does this need my Last.fm account to be public?
Yes. Track Down reads your top tracks through Last.fm's public API, so your Last.fm scrobbling history needs to be visible, not set to private.
Why would my Spotify playlist have fewer tracks than my Last.fm top list?
Any track scoring 0.40 or lower on Track Down's matching scale — usually because of a Last.fm-specific title format or a track missing from Spotify — is held for manual review rather than auto-added.
Why does Last.fm have listening history going back so much further than Spotify's own stats?
Last.fm has tracked scrobbles — an automatic log of what you play — since it launched in the UK in 2002, well before Spotify existed, so long-time users often have far deeper history there than on any single streaming service.
