Frequently asked questions
What CSV format does the file need to be in?
One song per line, formatted as "Artist — Track" (a dash or em-dash between the two). A plain .txt file with the same line format also works.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The file is read and parsed entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded anywhere, and matching happens directly against Spotify's API using your own session.
What if my spreadsheet has different columns, like separate Artist and Track fields?
Export or re-save it as a single-column text file with "Artist — Track" per line before uploading — Track Down doesn't currently parse multi-column spreadsheets.
